*Breaks out from under the ground and gasps for air*
Yes! I'm alive. Wooh. Let us all pray that I get a new hard drive to replace my dearly departed one. :D Okay... so I fried the old one. A couple of bad sectors decided to reveal themselves after my brother has turned off the computer's switch about 34.728394829 times (without properly shutting the thing down). He's a four year old techie-wannabe, okay? I'm not sure that's the only cause though.
I have finally found time to blog. I've been in internet cafes on and off to check my account on dA and my e-mail. Sadly, I haven't had time to blog. A lot of things happened over the past weeks. Here are some of the notable ones (I believe so).
Finally, there's a Starbucks near me!
It's not very interesting to you, perhaps, but to me it's BIG news. There's a Starbucks within half a kilometer of my house. W00t! hahaha Starbucks decided to open a branch here in the new SM Fairview Annex building. Well I guess the staff there's gonna be seeing my dishevelved hair and dirty sneakers (or the worn out sandals probably) often.
I know there are a couple of other coffee shops around here... Beanhoppers Coffee (my fave among the existing ones), Mocha Blends, Coffee Experience (a booth in Robinson's and the other here in SM), Saint Cafe thing (I haven't tried the store really, another booth). But Starbucks is Starbucks. So... yeah. :D
My First University Rejection Letter (the reason is stupid, read below)
Among the US schools I applied to I got rejected so early by my one and only *drum roll please* safety school. Yes folks, I got rejected by University of Hawai'i at Manoa. And I was so sure that if I get rejected by my other 4 schools (Swarthmroe College, Bryn Mawr College, Duke University, University of Southern California) UH will always be there to take me. Looks like they need me to go through 12 years of schooling before I apply. Don't they understand that in the Philippine we only get 10 (or 11, if you took grade 7) years of elementary and secondary education!? How come the other colleges and univeristies much bigger than them (not exactly in size but in ranking and quality and such) take Philippine students in!?
I e-mailed Northeastern University in Boston and told them I'm applying to their school, plus asked some SAT scores related question. It was a pleasant surprise when the reply e-mail from Michael Egalico (was that his last name) said: Firstly - Mabuhay! He said that his family is from the Philippines and that he's excited to learn that a student from the PI (as he put it) was applying. I heard from Remika that getting scholarship there is easy. Plus my first retake of SAT I score is well within the range their present students got. Well then, Boston, here I come! (On second thought, I still want to go to Swarthmore. Doubt it though :( )

That would be all for now since I only have a P20 budget for my internet time. Just enough to blog. haha
Cheers everyone.
