Of McFly and Easy Music
I seem to have a McFly-detector built inside my brain. I tried tuning in to Myx for Top of the Pops a while ago thinking maybe McFly would perform. True enough, they did. They were first up with their new single Room On The 3rd Floor. Oh joy. I'm a happy kid. Really.
And the next parts I've been wanting to write for months now but only remembered to write about now.
I sense a change in current musical preference in here. It's not that I don't like them before, I've already appreciate them before but I'm leaning on them more right now. Them being music from acts such as McFly, Franz Ferdinand, Coldplay, Travis, Maroon 5, Kasbian, this band who I don't know but remember a song from them that sounds like "run away, run away OR gone away, gone away to the weekend/summer/whatever" (if you know this song, please tell me what in the world the title and by whom it is. They sound oddly familiar,) The Datsuns, Keane, The Vines, The Killers, Weezer (well, I guess all this stems out from a liking for their music?), Suede (and from them to?), The Slides, etc. And a hightened appreciation of '60s rock, especially the interesting fusion new bands with '60s rock influence comes up with.
I guess most of you would describe the combination or some of the bands as unusual or something. It's hardly a matter of genre, rather the vibe in the music. It's light and laid back (not in a noise-gauge kind of way but the feel to the songs), easy to listen to.
But certain songs still doesn't fail to disgust me. I'm still not a fan of Good Charlotte (but I do respect them, and that video for Predictable reminds me of Adams Family). I still think Hilary Duff can't sing. And OLP, Lostprophets, Sum41 still remain in my top 5. (Sum41 is loads better now by the way.) I also have a strange liking for some of Natasha Bedingfield's songs (I've heard "These Words" way before it hit Asia, that's what happens when you watch Top of the Pops so I know more than one song of hers). By the way, there's this relatively new song from her (ToTP once again), Unwritten. That's one inspiring song, I must say.
So, this is just too freaky. Right now I'm watching some people wearing aerobics outfit and dancing some weird dances to Eric Payndz's (?) song (no one's performing though, weird) while young men dance and bounce to the music on the front "row". Freaky because these people look like they went there (ToTP) to watch the rock bands more than this kind of dance music. Maybe they were oggling at the girls dancing or something. Yes, I can definitely see that. Or they just dress so but are closet Fast Food Rockers fans in reality...or something.
Forgive the poorly constructed sentences. It's nice to be careless. haha
I saw Danny perform again after a long time.
We're seeing After the Sunset later on. Wooooheeee. And I'd probably watch The Incredibles this Sunday.
I saw Danny again. I heard him sing again. I heard him perform again. McFly comes up with interesting riffs. Really.
