I may or may not be soy-intolerant

I'm still in the process of digesting the fact that yes, my parents are going to let me loose miles away in mainland southeast asia for 15 days. I didn't even have to plead or anything, like, "Oh ok so you booked tickets already? Alright." Maybe because I'm going to pay for it with my grandmother's gift money anyway. HAHA I mean yea hello I'd rather backpack and throw myself into back of trucks and travel unpaved roads in countries whose language I don't even dream of learning and go more than a day without taking a shower than one whole ME Night affair with catered food and people forced to say good things about you. (I'm not really cynical about the whole debut affairs haha just saying..) Plus I don't really want a shiny brand new car with its brand new car smell although the idea sounds good... And that's not just because I'm leaving anyway.

Drove late this afternoon to the mall for groceries btw. HAHA We took my mom's car and really I hate driving them manual cars. I seem to forget how to drive them EVERYTIME. It's not even funny. Actually, I can drive them alright but you know, I forget that the clutch pedal exists everytime I'm hanging and waiting to turn a corner or when I'm waiting for a vehicle to pass across infront of me. And my mom trying to one-up me everytime doesn't help at all, I don't even understand why she feels the need to do so.

I think it's really just that damned clutch, even though I know the whys and hows and whens and whys and hows behind it for all sorts of situations. Or I was really just scatter brained this afternoon. Needless to say I wasn't behind the wheel on the drive back home. Oh please send me somewhere where traffic rules are actually followed and I'm sure I'll survive. And possibly be even considered as an above average driver then. Haha

Uhm I was supposed to talk about the South East Asia thing yeah. I've planned the itinerary, but I still have to tweak it and stuff. Let me list in order the next procedures I have to take. Haha that sounds so... laboratory.

1. First draft of itinerary.
2. Book plane tickets.
3. Search online for hostels. Make reservations. (Although I believe that for some of the pleaces we'd have to look for a place to say then and there. Oh yeah. Oh yeah.)
4. Work out the itinerary again after consulting latest train schedules and stuff. Try to finalize.
5. Finalize reservations.
6. Make necessary train reservations.
7. Focus more on reading about precautions and other traveler tidbits for the different places we're going to.
8. List down items to bring and pack. Would have to be strategic about it, especially since this is going to be some whirlwind 2 week trip, amazing race style for the most part.
9. Make printed copies of flight, train, hostel reservation details. Prepare xerox of passports and e-tickets to be stashed in strategic places (like taped to our legs, sewn in secret underwear pouches, or simply multiple copies stashed in multiple places - one inside the backpack, camera bag, those travel pouches you keep under your shirt. etc)

Reason for most of the fuss is that I've read that in the more urban areas in Vietnam like Hanoi and Saigon, snatchers do exist. Little kids and men on motorcycles. But you know, I think the foreign looking people attract them more. I mean hello, we're filipinos after all. Meaning we either look Thai, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Indonesian, Malay, blablablabla.

Soooooo yea. I think I have to attend to my current life. Hahaha If you want to take a trip just tell me and I'll plan it for you. I should just start my own tours and travel agency.
