The chicken had chicken for breakfast

I'm slowly making a habit out of watching movies at midnight. And it's quite better than watching in the day cos since nobody's awake, there's nobody to bother you, ie 5 year old brother yapping away and screaming at some tights-wearing superhero on TV.

I just finished City Of God. A few seconds into the movie I already knew it was pure cinematographic genius. Towards the end of the first story in the movie I felt sick with all the kick some kid younger-than-10-years-old is getting out of shooting naked couples and kitchen ladies. Halfway through the whole movie I felt heavy cos this 5 year old kid or something almost got shot by some 10 year old. (But near the end I so wanted that same kid, still about 5 years old, DEAD.)

Nearly halfway through it though I figured out I'm possibly 64.32774132% hippie at heart. And then nearly 3/4 through, the film became somewhat tragic. (Actually, the state everything in the movie was in is tragic all through out.) By this time the undeniable substance in this film finally caught on and dawned on me.

And then by the end I somewhat felt duped by a bunch of 10 year olds. Still a piece of cinematic brilliance though. Excellent. Buy a copy, download it, or give me a CD and have me burn it.

(And I no longer want to go to Rio, for fear of dying. Well, yeah, not very likely... But STILL.)

Got my hair cut too btw.
