24 deg Celsius

It's 24 deg C outside today. Or so CNN says. But yeat, the weather's pretty cool today. Just like one of the warmer spring days in Japan. And it's gonna be raining a little, I guess. On the subject of cool weathers, I really want to go to Vietnam. When I'm past the 18yo mark I'm going there, Vietnam and Cambodia. Even if I have to do it alone.

Well I'm bumming around for a while before I prepare for school. Saw Ashlee Simpson's most recent usic vid on MTV and I must say, I don't get her videos or most of her songs but if chosen to pick between Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, and clones etc of today, I'd actually pick somebody. Ashlee Simpson.

I guess this stems out from when we played Ashlee's song, the one with the french maid in the lyrics, during battle of the bands in high school *insert laugh here* I'm not saying I'm going to buy her album though. Maybe it's just that Hilary Duff sucks so much I feel the need to put someone above her. Hahahaha Evil. Just kidding. I hope the Puff fans don't get me.

And on to something definitely less light than that... I didn't know that HIV is hitting hard even in Russia and that there is a lack of information there. Seeing these 2 year old kids and below in an orphanage is heart breaking; even more to learn that there are 20,000 others like them abandoned by parents.

There are awareness campaigns within Russia regarding HIV. Take the use-condom commercial with David Beckham speaking in Russian. But CNN says the message is not getting through. Gee, I wonder why. Cos if it was David Beckham in a commercial I'd probably just be drooling over it. Okay, I was just kidding.

I want to watch Shaun Of The Dead again now for some reason. But I don't have my copy. And I considered being a news reporter and I still am. However, it looks like I'm heading towards the UN. After taking up Anthropology I might try my luck at the UN as one of those kiddos they send to study and evaluate communities. It's going to be pretty hard to get through because those who apply usually already have grad/post-grad credentials. Hmm... If I'm not lucky I'd probably work somewhere else for a bit and then either fly my ass to Europe and take up photography or apply for grad studies in Japan. Come back, try my luck again. And then blablablablabla fast forward to post-grad. Wtf you don't care anyway right? I always manage to talk and obsess about my future. *sigh*

I impulsed buy on a book yesterday, Linda Yablonsky's The Story of Junk. It's about heroin addiction.

Oooooh, and you have to have to love the Italian(?) Cathay Pacific commercials and the Hyatt one (Hyatt Touch commercial).
