The Day We Ditched the EngJourn2 Party

Yesterday, Kaye, Ayisse and I ditched the eng journ party. We were supposed to watch a movie but we couldn't agree on which one to watch. So we went to the food court and got ourselves meals from Sizzling instead. After that we just went around the mall, tried to look for swimwear, laughed at the funny swimsuits in Surplus SHop (Ayisse: Magmumukha kang crocodile pag sinuot mo to -> refering to a sparkly green scaly two-piece), laughed at the funny clothes and hats in Cinderella (we saw a lavander trucker cap-visor-lola hat hybrid), went to National Bookstore and laughed at the books, found good books, laughed at the press-me Gorilla doll that sings 5 minutes after you press it, and then ate ice creams.

I have a lot of books in my pending list I don't even want to list them anymore. But I found 4 new books I want to buy. (Or scam off the internet.)

  • The Well of Lost Plots (Jasper Fforde)
  • Einstein's Dreams (I stumbled upon this book 2 years ago and just rediscovered it that Friday. It's fucking awesome. Has this surreal feel to it. Has something about the place where time and reality stops.. or some such.)
  • Good Girl's Guide To Murder (Freaking cool idea haha. I think so, at least.)
  • An American Au Pair in London (did I get the right title? meh.)

I know, a chick lit (american au pair) and a thriller-chick lit :D But they're awesome. Good Girl's because it's a crime/thriller kind of thing, and An American Au Pair because it's a cross-cultural kind of thing. (Alter ego: Can you please let go of this "kind of thing" deal?)

    So there.

    Wait.

I just finished downloading the Einstein's Dreams ebook. I can't wait. That's why. hahahaha And.. and... Baler trip's moved to late May-early June because the waves are bettah. (Alter ego: What the fuck? What's with this "bettah" deal?) Hmm... since I'll be going to Japan I should ask my japanese uncle to teach me how to surf. But... but... I'm shy hehehe And he seems possessive of his precious boards (which are really top grade anyway, so I understand.)

I'm serious about this by the way -> If anybody wants anything bought in Japan, IM me at YM (amlcortez is the id) or email me at amlcortez[at]gmail.com

I will be going to Japan with my brat of a 4 year old brother anyway. And he is seriously annoying. He doesn't stop when you tell him so. Tipo bang masasapak mo na talaga. And what if he runs away while I fetch our bag from the baggage conveyor belt? NOOOOOOOO. Oh well, I'm gonna have a kick ass good time in Japan. It's my favourite foreign destination. Will always be no matter how many gooooood beaches and culture and life there are in other countries.
