All lines are busy now...
It's already 8:21 and I still have a Physics proposal to type, a Chem labrep to make and a fucking math long test to study for. So what am I doing? Drifting across the web of networks looking at nothing in particular.
I realized that I have never associated myself with being artistic before... just because I can't draw goddamn properly. All I knew was that I liked to write. That was just about as artistic as I could get. I always took the photos during family events as a kid. I never knew that years after I would actually be taking photos everyday, trying to make the ordinary look extraordinary. But now, I want to make movies and I take photos like crazy (well, not *that* crazy yet). And I've realized that I actually have a knack for these things... photography and cinematography, trying to get an interesting angle, composing images, and planning things.
I did dabble with music. Well still dabbling with it now. I knew right from the start that it wasn't somethign I'd take seriously. Just something fun to be preoccupied with for the time being. It's amazing how you find something that you seem to be good at, belong to, belong with, or simply something that is yourself.
If I try to imagine myself years from now taking photographs in the middle of a war torn city, I smile. If I try to imagine myself years from now making documentaries udner the sea or over land, I smile. I can actually see myself doing these things in the future. Doesn't seem to be something that can provide you with a solid income but it's still something enjoyable. Well, you can always do it alongside something more major.
No, it's not a passing hobby. I know a passing hobby when I see one. Film making might be, but photography... What I can't imagine myself doing is calling photography a hobby.
