All lines are busy now...
It's already 8:21 and I still have a Physics proposal to type, a Chem labrep to make and a fucking math long test to study for. So what am I doing? Drifting across the web of networks looking at nothing in particular.
I realized that I have never associated myself with being artistic before... just because I can't draw goddamn properly. All I knew was that I liked to write. That was just about as artistic as I could get. I always took the photos during family events as a kid. I never knew that years after I would actually be taking photos everyday, trying to make the ordinary look extraordinary. But now, I want to make movies and I take photos like crazy (well, not *that* crazy yet). And I've realized that I actually have a knack for these things... photography and cinematography, trying to get an interesting angle, composing images, and planning things.
I did dabble with music. Well still dabbling with it now. I knew right from the start that it wasn't somethign I'd take seriously. Just something fun to be preoccupied with for the time being. It's amazing how you find something that you seem to be good at, belong to, belong with, or simply something that is yourself.
If I try to imagine myself years from now taking photographs in the middle of a war torn city, I smile. If I try to imagine myself years from now making documentaries udner the sea or over land, I smile. I can actually see myself doing these things in the future. Doesn't seem to be something that can provide you with a solid income but it's still something enjoyable. Well, you can always do it alongside something more major.
No, it's not a passing hobby. I know a passing hobby when I see one. Film making might be, but photography... What I can't imagine myself doing is calling photography a hobby.
Ripping off again
Arashi is on Animax again with the video for their song "Hero". I hate the blasted song. I've heard it about a hundred times already. JUST MY LUCK! Tommy February 6 is on tv. Woohoo. Not that they're extraordinarily good. I'm just amused by them. Besides, the vocalist/guitarist is female...and they're all japanese. Eye candy, you can say, but they actually sound good. And hey, the girl pretty much can rock it. And WAIT. I just noticed this now o.O How could I have missed it. The guitarist and bassist are caucasian looking dudes. I thought they were all japanese. Anyway, moving on...
At DA for the most part of the day again. I did review for SAT (math) though. And I was able to partly finish my part of neil's and my joint article. I want a cold subway. Now. But the nearest Subway is kilometers away. Imagine. That's a little sad.
I found this off somebody else's site by quick blog hopping (you know, not really reading. just about the first few sentences of a blog entry and checking out the layout---I am a "retired" webmaster after all.) Not that I'm riping it off but indeed, it is amusing.

What I would choose among those that matter would be... bilingual (multilingual hahaha), Filipino, Asian and watching Olympics (even though there are no reruns at the moment). Sadly, I can't pick Hawaiian or British. Wouldn't want to be one really. Would just like to live there.
I can't sleep and it's already past 12. I had the worst dream last night even though the first part was really good because Drew Fuller was there :D (the rest of the Charmed cast was there all through out though). Maybe I'll go jump around the room. Or do a headstand (and risk my spine...again). Or do sit ups. Or play something hard really loud. Or continue reading books I have yet to finish.
Everybody knows I'm doing none of these anyway. ;)
Nothing. I'm blasted. Absolutely nothing.
School-related things I've accomplished today: 0
deviantART things I've accomplished today: 8 pictures, 1 ID and A LOT of comments.
I posted some new pictures. Only about a fifth or a fourth of what I was planning to post. It's fun adding borders (with titles and captions) on them, actually. And it makes the photo look better and more whole.

Newly Acquired Stuff
A package from Japan came containing the clothes Jasper and my grandmother left behind when they visited there about a month back. Aside from the stuff they left behind to make way for new stuff in ther suit cases, that they brought in, are provisions (read: food... mostly of instant ramen and okashi hehe).
I have procured some things that I thought nobody else would use as well namely: A new Gap shirt (that my grandma and brother might have forgotten there), some thin nylon or whatever cloth jacket or overcoat-jacket kinda thing (that is most probably a freebie from the wet market courtesy of a japanese coop there), a mini version of those bulky sharpeners (you know, the ones you stick your pencil in and wind something to sharpen it) and most priced among the bunch, a body board that was meant to be for my brother... either my dad can't distinguish between a body board and... uhm... dammit I forgot what they're called... the inflatable hollow floating device ring thing (or donuts if you may... I feel so dumb :-/ haha) Anyway, either that or he forgot I wanted a body board too. Since it was meant for the kid, it's a junior size one. But hey, I can manage using one. hahaha
Let's just hope I don't wreck it.
Blasted Quiz
So, I ripped this off someone else's blog. I found her link through Ayisse's blog. Anyway, there was no "Don't Steal This" or "I made this" disclaimer so I figured out I can rip it off and answer it here since I have nothing to do. Besides, wouldn't someone who made it be happy because the darned survey thing is going around?

Or I'm the only one who laughs at these things.
Reading other people's blogs make you want to blog as well
So, it's been two hours since I connected with my crappy but necessary dial-up connection. What have I been doing for the past 2 hours? You guessed right (or not)... I've been commenting and viewing art at dA. 2 minutes ago, before disconnecting, I remembered that Ayisse and Kaye updated already so I checked they're blog. It made me want to blog too haha.
Right now, I'm at Bryn Mawr's website viewing the dorm rooms. Lovely, really. Very. SAT's are less than half a month away. Woohoohoo. May heaven send their blessings and guidance to help me get a high score on it.
Sooo... yesterday was the best sunset I've witnessed so far. And I ran out of film so I wasn't able to take a photo of it. It was a very bright red orange (leaning towards the red), a vibrant light blue, indigo and a sea green/light green on the horizon, just below the red orange. And the clouds around it weren't the black smog-like (well actually, smog) ones. Gorgeous. Really. It was lovely to just stare at it. I wanted to shoot myself becaues I ran out of film.
I still have 2 long tests to study for and a math homework to finish. hahahaha
Ciao
Since when did I end a message or say bye using 'ciao'?
Just now.
Haha
PS
All we did during Health class, just like every other meeting eversince we had those triangular bandages was to wear the bandages as head scarves, scarves, neck ties and for Kaye, weird triangular jungle-like amazon tube tops. Yeah. Scary. She enjoyed the chest bandaging as a top. Then she goes off to dance that very expressive dance they did in America's Next Top Model 2. Hilarious.
dA addiction
I can say I'm hooked on to deviantArt. I have been there the whole day commenting on people's works and just going round. I reached 83 comments on other people's works from just around 10, all in one day. Whew.
It's a place to improve and boost your confidence. I have yet to receive a biting (but constructive and well-meant) comment. The people are very friendly. I've also read some genius quotes on signatures and blablabla.
Everybody, get an account there so you can comment on my photos too. hehehe
Here's a link to the gallery itself.
My poor arms
I took the ACET (Ateneo College Entrance Test) yesterday and yes, Math was the only hard part. They didn't have Science which was a little weird (well the SAT I doesn't have Science too but that's what the SAT II is for). I had to stop myself from laughing because my test permit was flying all over and I had to juggle SIX pencils. I had to ask the proctor for 2 more (No. 2) mongols because I had none.
11:35 - Left the house.
11:40 - Bought pencils at National Bookstore (there were only No. 3s so I bought 3 of those and an extra B pencil from Faber castle).
12:08 - Due to fucking slow service, it took me THAT long to pay for 4 goddamn pencils.
12:38 - Got stuck in a traffic jam along Katipunan. What's new?
1:18 - Got out of the car in the middle of the road annoyed and started walking. My test was at 1:30. Saw Bino sitting at the foot of the overpass stairs and asked him where inside Ateneo the high school buildings were.
Yes, I alternately ran and walked the whole length of almost 400 meters to get to the goddamn high school buildings. About 80m from the high school building, an amusedly smiling anonymous dude from the otherside of the road called me and told me the high school's already near to where I was standing. Of course I didn't recognize him because I had no glasses on but I think I know him. Didn't look like anybody I know that is in Pisay right now but did look like someone who used to study in Pisay. He must be studying in Ateneo right now. I arrived there at exactly 1:30 and there were 2 long lines outside the buildings.
Good thing things in the Philippines don't always start at the right time.
After that I went to Yuki's family day at Miriam. Took pictures around of kids and went to the fence lining the school's perimeter to take pictures of the road despite my aching forearms and hands (from too much heavy shading). They must've thought what a scary sister I was, holding an SLR with a 28-200mm lense while everybody else had sleek digicams. Ah, the beauty of it. Took a break and bought an iced latte from the Mocha Blends booth. It had too much milk or not much coffee.
We went home at 8:30 after finally convincing my sister to go home and not finish the announcing of winners.
They won 3rd place. Goddammit. I thought they weren't going to win at all. Good thing I didn't place money on our bet. I wouldn't really lose but I'd lose money. That's the greater part of it that I do mind.
Woopeedeedooda
Amazing Race 5 was just on TV. They finally reached the Philippines and well, it was quite amusing. Christie(sp?) was being such an ass and didn't want to get into the field to help Colin plow. Poor him. She said it was "too deep". Well, the other teams did it, why can't she? Therefore, they got stuck for another hour there or so and Colin broke down, somehow. I wonder if he said "I hate you" to the carabao (that he kept calling an Ox) or to Christie.
Chip and Kim finished first and of course. Yay. It was about time Colin reminded Christie that they're just tourists. Christie told the jeepney driver to "Just run them (the pedestrian) over" so that they'd go faster. Colin told her "Christie, listen. Remember, we're just tourists here." *evil maniac laugh*
They're going to Palawan soon. Woohoo. Nice place (even though I haven't been there yet). Pretty. We should hear some "this place is pretty" comments soon. If not, or if they edit those out I'll crack all of they're skulls >:-| Just kidding :D
I haven't blogged in a while because for the past days I keep on falling asleep before the clock even ticked 8:00. Casino is also on HBO right now by the way. Kinda overlapped with Amazing Race for the first hour but I just had to watch AR. Robert de Niro is fast becoming one of my favourite actors :D
We did "ghost" pictures inside the school service. It was already a little late and dark out so we did some fun shots of it. Kinda scary because one of juniors inside the service lives in a not-so-populated-village (one house per block, hello?) And there were no street lamps. Well, there were screams courtesy of our freshman girl. (Okay, so I did close my eyes for fear of spotting "somebody" outside or clinging to the side of the vehicle).
Eriko e-mailed me back. My new japanese friend :D
And if someone wants to go to Japan with me next year. Please. Come with me. I want somebody to go train joy riding and meeting fashion core japanese kids with.
I have a Bio long test tomorrow but I'd rather watch Casino and maybe Godfather too after this one finishes.
Aha!
Now I have confirmed the greater part of my assumption. The thing is pirated. How did I find it out? Well, you just have to hunt for numerous typos on the back cover.
*Gets ready to chuck it out the window*
Nah, I'll keep it. Hahaha
Click human being, click!
From where?
My cousin gave me a DVD copy of The Godfather series. As we all know, I haven't gotten my ass to get a copy of it yet on VCD. And I can't find any copy that comes in original DVD. I don't know where the fuck he got these from. Most pirated DVDs have same quality as the original ones, I haven't popped it in the player yet but looking at the back of the CD it looks like an original copy. But there's a whole chinese summary in the inside cover and it's not in a usual DVD case. Maybe it's a smuggled copy from China that is now a pirated copy. I'm confused.
Anyway. People, go visit my space at deviant art again :D
Here, enjoy. Although it is rather hard to enjoy because I lack artistic ability. Therefore, I must warn you that these pictures are only for the extremely bored.

Of Wines and Non-alcoholic Grape Juices
So. The local SM supermarket, which is the only supermarket I know that has a website, only has Kristov Vodka, the usual stock of wines and Chamdor sparkling grape juices which I believe are non-alcoholic. But I can't find the particular wine I was looking for. No champagne or any other sparkling wine. I'd just have to see for myself when I go there or to some other nearby supermarket. If there's no champagne available I might as well consider some other fruity sparkling wine. Plus I'm not sure how much more money I have to waste on a bottle of champagne which is guaranteed to be expensive, if it is indeed authentic Champagne. Bah. I can just tell my mom I want it as a post birthday gift. But I'd rather buy a sparkling wine, white wine, really. Besides, I'd be able to buy more of that. Let's just hope they aren't acidic or whatever. I want something fruity. If out of some weird, cosmic joke they don't have any wines (which I doubt) I'll go for the Chamdor instead. Hey it's not that bad. And if they don't have that too I better go learn how to make my own wine (and that will take weeks/months). So yeah. I should go to a nearby city and see if they have better wines there. Wait. Yes. I'm rambling pointlessly. FOrgive me. It's a quarter to 12 already and I have a family day to attend tomorrow.
I want grapes. At least. But no, the world is cruel so we don't have any.
I never knew I even knew an iota of something about wines. Wow. 2 'knews' in a sentence. Wow, that's new. Ahahaha I'm messing things.
From now on I will make it a point to have a bottle of white wine in this house. But they have to be good ones with no twangy taste or something. Then it'd be pointless. It wouldn't be that satisfying then (not just too twangy is bad, also because, if you haven't noticed now, I like the mild/sweet/unweirdly 'acidic'/'acidic' in a good way kind of wines... dessert wines).
And before I sleep... I have to dig around for some champagne flutes or whatever white wine glass around the house. There *should* be.
Cold Subways and Champagne
I read another person's blog (Cassy's), a link I dug up from the deepest darkest crannies of my History, and it spoke of growing up. I'm happy to move on to college. I'm looking forward to it. I've also been talking lately to friends and random people about how the future would be. I just fully realized that things would get harder. But somehow it doesn't worry me much. I know things are going to be a lot harder but I seem to be welcoming the future with open arms still, with or without hurdles (of course it will always have hurdles).
According to a quote I read from a friend's phone once, "I thought I was free but I was only in a bigger cage." We may not be entirely free, the world will always have something to bind us with, to bind us against. But it will be a rather larger cage. More things to do, more opportunities, more space to grow. That's what attractive about the future I guess. Even though I fully know that the prospect of something is most of the time more exciting than it actually happening. Well all I've to say is, bring it on, I'll seize each and every day (well I still need some days to bum and laze around haha :D)
Damn. I want a cold subway. And champagne. I'm currently browsing the local supermarket's website to see what champagne they have to offer. And I'll have my mom buy one with the groceries tomorrow. Heh.
4th Film Developed
I've had my 4th film developed (actually it was the 5th I used for the week). The shots on the 4th one were crap. Well I just documented the Sayaw Interpretation (Dance Interpretation) Contest hosted by the Filipino Unit plus some test shots. You know... warming up. haha
Anyway, the latest I had procured were great shots. Pensive shots if you will. Exactly the effect I was aiming for. I got nice artistic blurs and matte water colour effects. I'm not using it as excuse for bad "unsharp" images. hahaha The ones I was planning to be printed black and white would look nice black and white (but I'm having them all in black and white anyway). The ones that needed to be sharp looked sharp...to denote serious work. The rest were very good and suited, artsy just like the way I want them to be. I'm going to ask them to be plastered on the SciScho room so I was aiming for something that looked more like memorabilias. Ah, I could go on and on explaining it. But maybe that's just my opinion.
I don't know if anyone gets what I'm saying :? Anyway... I'll try to scan some. But bear with my crappy scanner. They're almost all Science Scholar shots. The SciScho at work. Maybe they're all better shots because there were actually subjects with spirit and awesome aura that exudes in the pictures. You know... they're pictures with life.
Pictures that are alive.
Some photos
I just realized I didn't pick a very nice Blonde Redhead song to download. It was rather annoying. Anyway... some photos from Hawai'i last year. Enjoy...

[Insert title here]
I will be posting the pictures of the different Bunny characters. For those who don't know, Bunny is a stuffed penguin Tua gave me for my birthday. We have already turned it into a medieval soldier, a "gangsta rapper" and a soldier. We have also taken pictures of the first Bunny photo-comics ever of him diving in a "battle field" with a rather huge improvised hand grenade. As soon as I get the photos developed I'll put it up.
So, I finished my roll of film early today during break while shooting shots of Bunny the Penguin in prison. I took out all my films last week and now feel bad for forgetting to bring more. I now find SLR photography better than digital (maybe because I have a sucky digicam) but it's starting to become expensive. Unless I develop them on my own... but I'd still have to buy the chemicals needed and all the other things I might be using. I'm not stoping though, despite the lack of a dark room and self-developing skills, who says I will?
Physics long test was moved tomorrow. I still think I'm going to fail it. Uhm, no. Must. Be. Positive. Scratch that... I think I'm going to pass it!
Yeah. Lame.
Right now I'm thinking: if I can get into Bryn Mawr; if I'll get accepted by Swarthmore; if I should read for the Physics long test again; if I should do something crazy like dive into a low carb Atkins diet; when the hell will the McFly album arrive here so that I can buy it no matter how embarassing that is; that rice is too precious; why the hell I can't find a single Pixies album here in this country; that I'll never do something more stupid like get a NO carb diet; that previously mentioned thing is just stupid; what stuff I'll give to people for Christmas; if I can finish my research in time for Intel; and a whole lot of other things.

A Physics Long Test in 10 Hours, 20 Minutes
So, I told myself roughly 2 hours ago that I'll be studying for Physics. But look at me now, I'm still online and blogging. I've already read a bit about electric potential last, last week (but the test was moved 2 weeks forward) anyway. But I definitely need to read on it again. In my span of 2 hours I half-did the Common Application, passed the Bryn Mawr Pre-Application, signed up for the Swarthmore mailing list, went to MX, catched up a bit with an online friend, read blogs and posted blogs.
*dodges evil/you're-just-weird/you're-too-addicted-to-the-internet stares*
Person Personified
Aha, I've got it. But I had dinner first so I didn't get the chance to post it as soon. Person Personified is about a person represented by a person, humans represented by people. In this case it is a person represented by his own self through the pictures. It's hard to explain really because it's sort of abstract. Either that or it's one of those things you can't seem to put into words. You'll just know, or rather, feel what I'm trying to explain. Somewhat artsy but it isn't totally abstract. It does mean something but not just one thing, can mean many other things depending on each person... I guess.
Ooooo, that particular theme and the title and its purpose is starting to sound more like a work of my nonexistent genius. Hmm, can we say accidental genius? Many beautiful things are accidental anyway. :D
Of Photography and Universities
Not that Bryn Mawr brainwashed me but I can say I'm in love with the school. Now I don't want to consider even applying for University of Queensland. Marine Bio is currently not becoming my priority although I'm still planning to concentrate on it. I'm opting for a solid Biology background for college though. Then I'll do a double major in Film. I'm no longer dropping Duke University too but will be dropping Columbia University. Damn it. I want to apply for Columbia... :( But I just feel like I have to drop one of them. Well Duke seems great and I'm sure there is no Asia racism or some of that evil crap although there might be another form of racism since North Carolina was part of the Confed, basing from what Neil told me.
Anyway, an updated list of the colleges I'll apply to for the uninterested people. I'm forcing you all to read it. Er...yeah.
US
Bryn Mawr College (I'm wondering if I'll apply early admissions here)
Swarthmore College
Duke University
University of Hawai'i
University of Southern California
AUSTRALIA
Universit of Queensland
PHILIPPINES
University of the Philippines
Ateneo de Manila University
---I'm dropping La Salle
Aaaaaaaaand I am currently planning a double-themed mini photography exhibit that the school will hopefully host. I'm planning to hold them at the same time at the hall beside the library. One theme on each side of the hall.
-----
1) One Lens, Infinite Perspectives
[1ens Per(8)pectives]
(8) = infinity sign
A showcase of photos taken in different perspectives like from the perspective of a car (headlight) speeding down the road.
2) Person Personified
[ Personified]
Basically a collection of photos of people that, hopefully, captures what makes them human. Or still pictues that move. Or perhaps illustrate what embodies people/persons/humans. This one is still about a quarter percent vague. I find it hard explaining this at the moment.

All of the above titles are temporary/pending/working titles. Maybe my title-generating genius is failing me/on maintenance. I'd gladly post the pictures or the link to the online photo album, rather, when I get these done.
Mall Musings
So, because of teh internet my family left me again to go to mass so I just went after them by myself, hoping to find them there. We attend Sunday masses at the nearby mall, you know, they have those morning massess before mall hours officially start. And lo and behold, AM has reached another low... going to mass in a mall, alone and looking like a dork while searching for my grandma's distinguishable dyed grandma hair. I was 25 minutes late since I had to scrub yellow poster paint off my arms from the dance presentation yesterday. I could've just worn a sweater or a jacket so that I wouldn't be mistaken to have Hepatitis (or yellow fever...haha) but it was too hot.
And so I embarked on another journey with my trusty green leather flip flops, bag (which would probably be screaming for help if it could) and most worn pair of cut offs in the world (Even though every other person, Avril or non-Avril fan, is wearing a version of it... who cares?). Wait, mini rambling here. I noticed that people are suddenly wearing the same exact thing: any variation of cropped pants and flip flops/sandals. Nobody wore it then. Why? Not that I'm a selfish biatch who doesn't want other people wearing what I do (I encourage variety in what one wears, actually) but it just doesn't feel that special anymore, you know? But I doubt anyone would be wearing the same pair of green leather thongs (the footwear not the other, I believe to be, unwearable... thing) I have. *cackle* *wheeze* *cackle*
Back to the story... I bumped into our neighbor and asked them if they saw any of my family (just my mom and grandma actually) and said they didn't. Since I was already in front of the photo shop, I looked a bit on the prices of films even though I already know how much they are.
While looking for my family I decided to go to National Bookstore instead even though I only have P42.00 in my pocket. I browsed through the latest Time (the Republican Special Report) and found some good shots of Bush and something about surfing and where to learn how to surf. Luckily, Baler here in the Philippines was mentioned and I have set my mind then and there to go to Bay's Inn in Sabang Beach this Christmas vacation to finally learn how to ride waves.
Then, I went to the photography books corner and found the NatGeo photography field guide. Since I didn't have money I made a mental note to buy the People and Portraits field guide. Then I went to look for a book to give Neil as a late birthday present-early Christmas gift. I found "Hoot" by an author whose name I forgot (his last name starts with an H) which is actually an young adult read but it is hardly that. The presentation may well be that but the it's funny enough and I think it talks about more serious matters like politics, etc. Sounds like something from the comments printed on the book's back cover, huh? It actually is...only it was printed on the inside.
I decided it was time to go home after around 45 minutes of walking around. I bought a 12 oz melon shake, which was the only partly satisfying thing my money allowed me to obtain, and walked to the right wing exit to ride a jeep home. It was still early so obviously there was a longer line of jeepneys than the people. Actually, there were no people lining up. So I walked the length of 2 malls to the otherside, crossed the road to the other mall and road a jeep there. By that time I already finished my meager 12 oz of melon shake.
While walking the length of the mall I saw some eyebrow-arching things.
+ A Junior Jumbo Siopao. What the hell are those? Kind of contrasting. What the hell is a junior jumbo supposed to be? Confusing.
+ I saw a "life sized" hotdog pillow/balloon pillow with a topless Maui Taylor (with arms crossed over her top) printed on it. There are ""s on the life-sized because I firmly believe it is definitely taller than the real-life Maui Taylor. Disturbing. A Katya Santos one would've been more disturbing.
+ A poster of Dion from Star Struck for Walker Men's underwear. Equally disturbing.
+ I passed by House of Praise and they're praying... Stuck by Stacie Orico(sp?) Most Disturbing.
+ I passed by a certain "Weigh Less Center" in the newly constructed building. Ah. Weight loss advocates are no longer restricted to Internet and spam mail advertising and posting 3"x2" advertisements on lamp/ Meralco posts in alleys or inside jeepneys. Not very disturbing.
+ And something I saw in the same mall yesterday (I just need to include it here). A fat gay kid wearing a black shirt with a red "Avril star" and white 'Avril' printed on it. My eyes popped out at the sight of it.
So. I have yet to finish a math problem set and study for a Chemistry long test plus if I can, read about electric potential for Physics since the long test is this Wednesday already. I need higher grades for college admissions. 2nd quarter grades are my last chance to boost my academics. (Bryn Mawr!!!)
The sun's nearly at its peak, it's not yet late to seize the day.
On Photojournalism
Did I ever mention in this blog that I won the district photojournalism contest, the first photojourn contest I ever joined that I mentioned in a post a few scrolls down? Well yeah, I bagged the first place with a point and shoot camera. Beat all of them SLR handling kids. Heh. Would've owned if I used a disposable camera instead. But it's not really in the camera, it's with the technique and eye for what catches attention or how to make something catch attention. I like taking pictures of subjects with subtle touch of beauty from the witty (or not necessarily) message they convey.
Now, I'm waiting for the division contest. (Or maybe I interchanged district and division?)
Cold Subways and Hot Coffee
Sunday mornings are best spent in front of the computer eating cold Subways from the night before and coffee. So I'm off to get myself a cup of moccachino and am off to munch away on said unreheated sandwich.
Here are the photos. Not fabuluous, not great and may not be even good but here they are anyway.
Sorry if my scanner looks so neolithic.
A Saturday Spent In School
We had a 5 day vacation which was 3 days off school because of the storm. We made up for one day by spending the last day of our Humanities Week this Saturday. The Filipino Interpretative Dance Contest was yesterday and we feel like our section's going to get the tantananaaaaan....last spot, 8th. Haha But we had fun anyway. But the dance was not that bad, really. We still have a bleeding fighting chance for 6th or 7th place. :D How fun.
I took pictures most of the day yesterday. They were good, though not exceptional. I was just trying out the camera anyway. There weren't much interesting subjects that's why. So I have to work on making things more interesting. 5 pictures didn't come out. 2 of which I was experimenting with, 1 of which I was experimenting with but was expecting to come out (Maybe they thought it had too much blur, well that was the idea basically so I'm going to have it printed today), another one which was a faulty shot but I don't know why it was printed, it was quite okay, and the last one which was slightly underexposed from the negative but I'll have it reprinted anyway (it was a falling pyramid of cards but the falling of cards is not much evident...I'd like to waste P5 on it still, anyway).
This roll of film is somehow all about Electron with people playing cards inside school and a bottle of Black Label (that only contains Iced Tea...honest :D)... All of which took place in the 2nd floor of the Science and Humanities Building also known as the school offices + library + guidance center + faculty center building.
College Apps Update
I am updating my college application even though nobody cares. I am dropping Duke. Sure it's an extremely good university and they have a marine bio lab but, you know... I just don't feel like it. Besides, they have a 15.6% rate of racism from what I remember. And it's in North Carolina, near down south and... I don't know what to think about it really apart from it may not be the best university for me as of the moment despite its excellence and the thirst for knowledge the school or rather, the students, seem to have. Anyway...
Bryn Mawr College
Columbia University (Columbia College)
University of Southern California
University of Hawai'i at Manoa
Now I don't even know if I'm continuing to USC.. But I'd probably have my SAT score sent there just in case.
Yeah. I'm rambling to nobody. I love this. hahahahahahaha Bah. I hate laughing in "ha" chains now.
Proud to be Bryn Mawr...I wish.
Yes, I seem to be obsessed with the school but I'm not. Okay, maybe I am but it's just now that that I found out that such school exists. A school that is very much, almost perfectly, compatible with who you are. A school that apart from having a name, you know can help you with the life out there---even though that last bit sounded a little obsessive compulsive and "can't wait to grow up". A college with a strong liberal arts programs and math and science curriculum. Ah, indeed I'm almost, cheesily, stalkerishly proud to be a prospective student of Bryn Mawr. hahaha
Right now I'm filling up the online application form. Oh joy (I'm not saying it sarcastically for the first time).
