Hellozzz from Hat Yai, Thailand
The train station smells like a thousand street children under the sun. But it's all good. You pretty much get used to it. Buuuuut we're not there right now. We're in some internet shop. In a while I'll be logging out and having my passport xeroxed yeah. We're off to Bangkok on a non-airconditioned train in about 1 1/2 hours. Last night we nearly froze to death inside the train from Kuala Lumpur to Hat Yai. If you're planning to make the KL-Butterworth/Padang Besar-Hat Yai trip do not wear shorts, short pants etc.
Soooooo I dunno, Ayisse is writing a pretty lengthy LJ post beside me. Just check out her LJ.
We got about an hour of footage. Hahaha Some are pretty funny. Some are transition shots. Blablabla. Self-interviews. Blablabla. Blablabla. Blabla.
I pretty much haven't anchored myself yet in this trip... although how are you supposed to do that when you're still in transit? We still have a day or two to go in transit before we reach Cambodia and settle in for 2 nights. You know the feeling, you know you're not home, you can feel that you're not home. Yet, even though you're somewhat comfortable in this new environment, you don't feel like you're here.
Ok I don't want to pay like 60 baht for this whole thing. Hahaha The Mister DOnut here have way better doughnuts than there in the Philippines. I think every other country's MisDo have better doughnuts than in the Philippines.
We've made a few disposable friends btw. Like the train conductor and this man sitting next to us on the floor of Sentral KL train station, waiting for the train to Hat Yai last night. But no disposable backpacker buddies yet.
Aaaaaaaaah. It feels like one long day rather than 2 separate days. Ohmygod we'll be stuck in a train for 16 hours to Bangkok. Omfg.
