I finished reading The Tesseract yesterday.

PLEASE NOBODY TELL ME WHO WON'VE AFTER THE ENGLAND-PORTUGAL GAME ON SATURDAY. Cos the only way I'm gonna be able to watch it is on replay on solar sports. HAHA And they're not gonna show it until the next day or whatev. Sucks but I have to make do and I don't really mind. So yeah I won't be visiting any blogs or journals on dA until I watch the replay. Something tells me England will win. They might need luck or whatever but you know. (Hey didn't they get a couple of players sent off?) I feel evil for saying this but I hope Ronaldo doesn't make it to the Port-Eng match. Heehee Yeah I'm only saying that cos he's really good.

(EDIT: On second thought, I'm just gonna watch a live gamecast online. haha)

On another note I am on a quest for the perfect pasta salad. Everytime I make one though I end up heating the tomatoes a bit with garlic in a pan. Cos, yeah, I actually like heated tomatoes better than fresh ones. But the fresh ones are good too so yeah.

I don't feel like there's much happening at school. Cos I'm still online for the most part when I get home.. Oh crap I forgot to have some Anthro readings xeroxed O_O Oh no no no no no. Oh no. I'd have to cram reading everything Monday morning -_- Well anyway, I guess I should start getting to my readings and stuff. Maybe I'd spend more time in the library actually reading course-related books that aren't required. My European Languages and Civs prof is inspiring :D

I am aware and I do believe that with the social sciences, it's better to be well read. Cos, let's say, studying Anthropology and History is not the same as studying for Math and Bio. I find it hard to familiarize myself with something after one reading. And I go by memorization through familiarization. Whatever. Well as I was saying, yeah it's good to be well read especially in the field you're studying. I mean what else am I gonna do as an undergrad student? I don't think I'll fare well just by passing requirements and such. I need the extra knowledge. That sounds really geeky.

My hands now always smell like garlic.

Watch The Strokes' new vid for You Only Live Once. It's up on youtube (of course). Haha Remika you're right. It's awesooooome.

Hm. I've nothing more to say.

So

Drive to school today was alright. Except for when I didn't come to a stop when another car was trying to shift to my lane, in somewhat heavy but moving traffic. Let's just say I got a huge whack on the head from my dad, which was totally unexpected. He said sorry later during the day tho. Hmm kinda stupid too.

But anyway, awesome stuff today I wonder why I haven't raided the top cupboards in our kitchen ever before. I thought there were just a bunch of expired seasonings and Spam and similar delata in there.

Today though I found a canned alaskan pink salmon, a bottle of Kahlua coffee licqor/eur/eure/howeveryouspellit, and a 375ml bottle of a scarily old looking (meaning exterior in deteriorating condition) Mumm Cordon Rouge Brut Champagne. I'm still trying to figure out what year it was cos apparently it's not on the bottle. I hope the champagne's not in as bad condition as the labels and stuff :(

On my way home I was thinking about... Oh I forgot about it already. But it was really funny at the time. And today I saw this guy in school who I've dubbed the instant I saw him as the male counterpart of Amelie. Not that he looks like Amelie, or Audrey Tautou for that matter, but that was just the impression I got. Well there's a little resemblance with Amelie with the complexion and the eyes sort of, and that bemused expression. Hmm, interesting.

My real name is Bobong. Shock.

A number of things were wrong today. Not really alot, but you know, some stuff.

Well this morning while driving to school (with my dad beside me, barking and yelling about my stupidity with manual gear shifts/overtaking/lack of speed as usual) the car engine died on me FOUR TIMES. IN A SPAN OF TWO MINUTES. As I was making a u-turn infront of the UP gate near central.

And then today in Bio class I said, "Researchers at the University of Calgary in ONTARIO, Canada..." And only realized 3.155498 seconds after I sat down that CALGARY IS NOT IN FCKING ONTARIO, IT'S IN ALBERTA. =(

The second one actually bugged me alot. THe first one I didn't mind much.

ONTARIO??? WHAT WAS I THINKING???

Oh well at least I'm not Canadian.

best. day. ever.

Today was a great day. It started off the night before actually when I told Ayisse that I felt good.

AM (6/19/2006 11:49:36 PM): wait she said that?
Ayisse (6/19/2006 11:50:34 PM): no i said that
Ayisse (6/19/2006 11:50:35 PM): haha
AM (6/19/2006 11:50:39 PM): about who?
AM (6/19/2006 11:50:43 PM): EIJI??? hahahha labo
Ayisse (6/19/2006 11:52:14 PM): oh man you're confused *stares at av*
Ayisse (6/19/2006 11:52:50 PM): oi im listening to supermassive black hole
AM (6/19/2006 11:52:56 PM): SUPERMASSIVE BLACK HOLE
Ayisse (6/19/2006 11:53:10 PM): it sounds like a hot Prince mix
AM (6/19/2006 11:53:14 PM): HAHA
AM (6/19/2006 11:53:20 PM): not Prince namaaaan haha
Ayisse (6/19/2006 11:53:23 PM): ANG GANDA NGAAAA
Ayisse (6/19/2006 11:53:27 PM): heehee
Ayisse (6/19/2006 11:53:34 PM): it sounds like uhm wow i wna dance
Ayisse (6/19/2006 11:53:36 PM): oo kaya!
Ayisse (6/19/2006 11:53:56 PM): Prince+techno+hot bets and effects

Actually that wasn't the part of the conversation when I said I felt good but whatever.

Well anyway today it didn't rain hard, I got a gazillion shots of Ayisse and the colorful green and red fallen flowers from ze "fire tree." But I had most, all of them on film... Black and white film. Hahaha But meh I don't care I wanted it all on bnw.

And another reason why today is another good day is because I bumped into alot of old people I missed, like friends from gradeschool. And I bumped into a french10 classmate from summer who transferred to Diliman from Tacloban. And I saw alot of people I came across over the past school year all in one day hahaha hmm nevermind.

And I got this text from Ms. Jen at fu asking me if I can do another product + interiors shoot for a restaurant. Free food again this time from Don Hen @ West Ave.

When I got home I found out some of my food shots, well about a third of the things I shot got damaged cos my laptop died in the middle of trying to transfer files from the card reader. But I really didn't freak out alot over it.

Well I was waiting for TOTP but it was still 30 mins away or something so I tinkered with my card reader and the photos and everything and next thing I know...

Remika (6/20/2006 9:23:53 PM): nakakatawa yung "evidence" kasi parang tugma. HAHAHAHA

Some five minutes later...

Remika (6/20/2006 9:28:35 PM): narealize ko na baka busy ka pala sa pagnuod ng totp. pero kung nakalimutan mo ay good for you.
AM (6/20/2006 9:30:49 PM): PUTANG INAASREWfoip; Jfhjk: dsfh
AM (6/20/2006 9:31:04 PM): PUTANGINAHINIHINTAY KO YUN PUTANGINAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Remika (6/20/2006 9:31:28 PM): waaaak! =))

(COMMERCIAL BREAK: Wtf they're playing Busted's What I Go To School For as background music on some show on MTV now with this guy named Max.)

Moving on... Fck I'd have to wait til Thursday early morning or worse, Saturday morning, for the replay T_T I know I can watch that certain part of totp on youtube but it's different on TV :( Besides it's clearer.

Bah.

Oh watch this clever commercial which is a part of Switzerland's new tourism campaign, now that world cup's around and all: http://www.myswitzerland.com/html/movies/wm/player_flash.cfm

Hahahaheythatfirstguyhasareallycutesmilehahaha.

hoh

Apologies should be due for the somewhat massive fangirl attack on the previous post. But since this is my blog everybody should be used to it by now. However, Dixi has a point when she brought up the topic of people who just happened upon that certain post, and only that certain post. Yeah, they don't know the gravity of this whole danny deal. Hahahaha

Hahahaha.

Let's get the motion in the ocean, so turn off your phone now.

HAHAHA.

I'm a hopeless case.

Off to review my japanese :( And study more math :( I sak.

Please tell me I can't be blamed for thinking dannyissexywhenhe'ssinging, like it's one of those "Yeah even tho mcfly are stupid danny has a sexy singing voice." Ohmygod this is too incriminating but what the hell, this is my blog so yeah, yeah?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GDiHpL4gq4

Harry: It's great to be in a Lindsay Lohan..... movie.
Dougie: Hahaha, I got that.

Hahaha cheeky bastards.

---

No real update cos well there'a test I have to study for and yes I just went online a bit to watch mcfly on youtube -_- Just kidding of course not. There's mail to check, and mail to check, and uhm yeah, all I ever do online nowadays is check for email.

today, the world ended for the 147th time

Received a call from the Japanese embassy today saying I passed the screening and qualified for the written examinations on Friday next week.

And I'm only halfway done with this fcking history book.

I have 8 days.

And I still have to review my Math 17, that's algebra and trigonometry. Plus, my nihongo, which is actually the least of my worries.

EIGHT freaking days.

I've started to rule out the chapters I will be focusing on in the history book. It's been taking me a long time because I read each chapter twice. First I get a hold of the concepts, and then I read it again to memorize through familiarization while listing down the important dates to make a timeline for myself. I like to really absorb it. And, I dunno... I'd just have to familiarize myself with as much as I can and... IT'S NO USE JUST BLABBING ABOUT IT :(

Off to start reviewing Math.

I hate math so much my brain has already eliminated everything from linear inequalities to those tans and coscossins and OIFHOPU)(&R)(&)(AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Until the sugar runs out

Red Ribbon Quezon Avenue around 8:20am

Is it just me or they've started playing that Stephen Speaks Passenger Seat song again on radios? I'm alone in some Red Ribbon I've only been in once before and suddenly I come up with a get-to-know-the-person-on-the-other-table-in-a-coffee-shop tactic. Of course, it'll only work if you're sitted next to the person. Oh, and if you're drinking coffe and she's drinking coffee.

You see, if you happen to fancy her, or him, and she happens to not be using her pack of sugar, go over and ask for it. Well if you're not repulsive or horrendous looking I'm sure you're welcome to crack smiles over for the next 10 minutes, albeit possibly unsolicited unless you know, you're hot. In which case you are probably not aware cos you know how they're never aware and... Anyway, so yeah...

You smile yeah, for the next ten minutes or so. And then ask for sugar again if there's any more left, and again and again until the sugar runs out. Smile smile smile, ask for sugar, smile smile smile, ask for sugar. And then what do you do next?

6.11.2006

My brain cells are buzzing Born Slippy (read: lss)

I've discovered these multivitamin supplement things my dad takes sometimes that works like redbull at the same time only it's better cos, well, it's centrum-y and everything too. You know if I didn't forget the name I obviously wouldn't be drawing on silly words like centrum-y.

It says on the container 12+ yr olds and above should take 4 tablets a day but accdg to father dear he only takes 2. If he takes one more he'd have to run 2 futile miles in the middle of the night and come back home still not sleepy. Well he didn't say that exactly but you get the idea...

So yeah I've figured, goodbye sleepy early morning cramming! And coffee that only makes me sleepy! And I can go home on Mondays and Thursdays after 4.5 hours of class and an hour of PE and not fall over in a narcoleptic episode. (Ever since highschool ended I can't get seem to get through 4 classes in a day anymore. Hmm I think I'm exaggerating.)

ZZZZZ.

Supermassive black hole!

Listen to Muse's Supermassive Black Hole from their new album... It doesn't really sound like them in their previous album or whatever, it's more dancey DFA 1979 x Jamiroquai x subdued Boom Boom Satellites. And I LOVE IT. I'm not one to easily hate a band because they changed their sound or whatever. Holy shite two whatever's in one paragraph. Whatever. Three.

Going to Hidalgo tomorrow for the first time lalala.

Oh and new layout.

Google: Trainspotting John Hodge
For the whole poem in Trainspotting, the Choose Life, Choose blablabla thing. I think I posted it on here before? Or non. Well yeah yeah. Or read the book. Or watch the movie. And download BOrn Slippy by Underworld.

Ohmygod I go on and on about these things.

And did you catch Kellie Pickler on Jay Leno in her MTV Movie Awards red carpet interviewing stint? It was awesome and hilarious. I swear, you should search for it online. Youtube should have it. My favourite parts were the "I hugged my first Jew!" and the villain-murderer thing where she makes this knife-in-hand motion. And the matrix! Hahaha that was awesome.

I'm done with enrolment for the coming semester btw, finally after 3 days. And I'm onto a third of that history book finally. FINALLY.

An ode to longganisa

Shit. Ang dami kong nakain na longganisa. From Ilocos. Longganisa is the new tomato omelette.

What.

--

Palabas na pala Inside Man. O_O Wait, is it? I will DIE if I don't see that movie. I don't care if it turns out to be just another heist movie, JODIE FOSTER AND CLIVE OWEN ARE IN IT. I've loved Clive Owen's character right when I saw the trailer. You know that part where he says in the trailer something like, When I said I would execute the perfect bank robby I meant I will execute the perfect bank robbery. Or something like that, not exactly that of course. AAAAAAAAH.

Madeliene White: I'd call you a monster, but I have to go now and help bin Laden's nephew buy a co-op.
Arthur Case: [laughing] If that were true, you wouldn't be telling me.
Madeliene White: [turning to leave] We're putting you down as a reference.

---

Dalton Russell: You're too fucking smart to be a cop.
[He points a gun at Frazier]
Dalton Russell: Now get the fuck out of here.
Keith Frazier: Go ahead, shoot me. I got nothing to lose and neither do you, so go ahead, shoot me.
Dalton Russell: [pause] Fuck you. Tell them to send someone sane next time.

---

Waiter: Excuse me Sir, do you have a reservation?
Keith Frazier: [walking past waiter] I have an appointment.
Waiter: May I take your hat?
Keith Frazier: No, get your own.
