Too much wonderful things to discover in a life time (Late Night Madness # 7)

How did today go? Let me go through it the usual style, listing down and then adding comments. Pity I wasn't able to note the exact times though.

Morning:
+ Arrived in school. 5 minutes late for the school service.
+ Joined the second flag ceremony. They didn't let us put our bags down. I've got no problem with it but how about those lugging around a lot of stuff?
+ Ate "lunch" at 9:00
+ Went to the 2nd floor front landing to practice for Filipino. Kaye did some really nice choreography and the dance is going well. The English Rap's not doing that good though. Since I was in charge of the lights (thank god I don't have to DANCE) all I did was read Quark Henares' screenplays and short stories. Fun times. I can't believe I haven't had the pleasure of reading his works earlier. Which makes me realize that I have kazillion more things, people, geniuses, ideas, stories, etc. to uncover and discover. And a life time is not enough to do so, I think.
+ Registered for the SAT finally using the ComSci lab's computers. Good thing they let us. They were kind though, it wasn't really a hastle to get permission. Our purpose was for a perfectly good cause though. That might be a prerequisite.

Afternoon:
+ Ate a second, relatively lighter lunch.
+ Bummed around.
+ Realized that I promised Chimoms to help out with the inkwall.
+ Went to the inkwall and half-finished it. Neil's reprinting some of the works and posting them tomorrow.
+ Bummed around again with the super friends. hahaha

I swear I'll bring a DV cam tomorrow. No. I don't know if I can bring it. But I will. I've already missed a million amusing talks like rants with perfectly valid points, screwed teenage ramblings with pseudo intelligence & hidden angst and those kind of talks that start with bed time stories (Garner's "politically correct" ones) and turn into political/history debates.

I still don't know what short film to make. I should take Sir Jleg's advice. Focus. That is after I successfully lift the 2nd phase of my research project off the ground though. Besides, I've just started a new project. A photoessay I hope to turn into an exhibit showcasing different POVs. And yeah, you'd have to guess from what POV it was taken. Should be fun doing it. I need to get the damn SLR first though. Woohoo for relatively cheaper 1993 issue (I do hope it's one of the original 93 issues though I kind of doubt that, I don't even know how many batches they made except that there were 3 versions I think...) Canon EOS Kiss SLRs that are still sold. And too bad I can't develop my own negatives. That's what photo shops are for. hahahaha

I still have to finish the patient letter of consents. And I forgot to look for my cousin's letter of intent and biodata. My aunt's asking me to send it to her. I hope they're up early in the morning so I can fax it to her tomorrow.

And before I leave. I just remembered. It's already the day of my birthday today! hahahaha I don't turn 16 until 10:00 this evening though. Oh well. It's going to be a normal day except for the birthday greetings---that, I am sure of.

Somebody please give me a 10 minute short film idea. I need one. I'm starting to think that I'm a bad (movie) scriptwriter.

blob fish bubbles sky birds clouds drifting life

Word association. Hah.

I was just thinking, for the nth time, how fast time passes by. And thinking about how fast it flies is just making it fly by faster. What will happen when we die, after we die? That has got to be the ultimate question. Others may consider "What is my purpose in life?" as the ultimate question but I don't see it even as a question. That one is more of a quest, a journey, a discovery or... just something you think and put your mind to. Ah. Hint of cheese in there, eh? Or nor.

I don't know what else to do. And I'm not yet sleepy. Some idle time again, staring at the monitor contemplating the future of my film-making "career".

Finally

Yes, after almost a month of being computerless and internetless I have finally decided to plug the damn CPU and try turning it on again. Voila. It turned on. A lot has happened over the past weeks. I got around to reading Kaye's Gossip Girl. It's addicting and the constant presence of New York and the prospect of NYC is, well... addicting and exciting. I have finally confirmed my suspicions that I have a thing for things high end. My aunt's constant lectures of things high end when she visits the Philippines or when we visit her have payed off. I actually did learn things from her.

I have also trimmed down my list of colleges to apply to, both in the US and Australia, aside from those that I have here in the country. Here they are.

Duke University
Bryn Mawr College
University of Southern California
University of Hawai'i
University of Queensland

And possibly: Swarthmore College and University of Florida

I actually have a lot more things to say but it's tiring and there's no use venting out weeks-old matters.

Chocolate Appreciation Day

Aside from this day being my calculator's death day, I dub today Chocolate Appreciation day. I opened a box of <3 belgian chocolates out of wanting something sweet to eat and we've none but this box. It can't stay forever in the cabinet so I took it out. Best ones out of the bunch would have to be:

Oudenaarde - Dark chocolate, with a creme brulee filling blended with a hint of brown sugar and small flecks of vanilla bean.
Enghien - Dark chocolate, filled with a white truffle center flavored with Irish Cream.
Antwerpen - Dark chocolate, with a milk truffle Amaretto flavored center.

RIP My First Scientific Calculator

As of 12:08 this afternoon, my first ever scientific calculator from first year high school died. After suffering from its first "(vegetable) oil spill" accident, it survived for about amonth until the second oil spill killed it. I tried my best to revive it. I might see a "witch doctor" later though to see if it can still be revived.
